He holds a Master of Science in Medical Laboratory Science from George Washington University and a Master of Business Administration from Loma Linda University.
Michael previously served as a phlebotomy program lecturer for the UCLA School of Medicine, Center for Prehospital Care. He is also a contributor to the Clinical and Laboratory Standards Institute (CLSI) Document Development Committee.
